叢京生，加州大學洛杉磯分校計算機系校長講席教授。通過在現場可編程門陣列中的創新，對可編程邏輯的技術發展有開拓性貢獻。 

美國國家工程院院士是工程界最高榮譽之一，授予那些在工程領域內從事研究、實踐和教育并作出卓越貢獻的人士；以及在新興和發展中的技術領域中取得重大進展、在工程教育方面研發新方法的開拓者。目前院士總數達到2281人，外籍院士249人。
